Monica Junious
( 4 items )
Monica Junious is a graduate of the Trinity College of Arts
and Sciences at Duke University, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts
degree. Despite being a fan of the
game since the early 1990s, she began following women’s basketball more closely
towards the end of the decade.
Having grown up as an ACC fan living in SEC country, Monica learned to
appreciate the differences between the leagues and keeps close tabs with both
leagues annually. She sites the
1999 Duke upset victory over Tennessee as the most influential event in her
fandom of ACC Women’s basketball. Combining
her love of basketball with her love of writing, Monica covers a variety of
basketball-related subjects through article writing and blogging. Other interests include watching
college sports (especially football), exercising, and cooking. Currently, Monica works as a researcher/tutor in Eastern
Alabama—though she aspires to join the Air Force in the near future.

David Siegel
( 45 items )
Women's basketball fans come in all shapes and sizes.
To look at David you'd be surprised to see this large man with the white goatee is a women's basketball fan; maybe an NFL or NBA fan, but women's hoops? But David is a big supporter of the women's game, having been a contributor to the formation of this website and other message boards, a WNBA and women's college hoops season ticket holder, but more importantly as a grass roots administrator.
David has been a coordinator on the town and local level for girls basketball in the elementary school and middle school level in Connecticut for several years. He has also served as head and associate coach, and organized and run summer leagues for middle school girls.
He brings the unique perspective of a father, administrator and fan to his writings for Off-Court.
